Looking Ahead This Month…

Student Fall Elections take place Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15-16. That’s next week! October 15th is going to be an exciting, and not to mention delicious, day at Mason because we have the OSI Cookie Cart with Career Services from 11-12pm. Also, it’s time to be inspired because Eric Ryan, founder of Method Soap, is coming to George Mason to discuss how he built his company from the ground up using sustainable resources and having his own creation become a household name. Thursday, October 17th, the Student Senate meeting will be held at 4:30pm in its usual location. This is the first meeting with the new members and it will include a new member reception. Friday, October 18th, the George Mason men’s and women’s basketball teams will officially kick off their seasons at 9:30 p.m., taking part in the annual tradition known as Mason Madness. Doors open at 9 p.m. at the Patriot Center, and the event is free and open to the public so bring your friends! Thursday, October 24th, the Student Senate meeting will be held at its usual time and location, 4:30pm in Mason Hall. It will include the monthly presentation and general senate meeting. The Student Leadership Teaching Seminar (SLTS) team-building event will be held from 12-1pm in the Office of Student Involvement. If you aspire to be a stronger leader in your work, student organization, or just in your every day activities, Sunday, October 26th, the Leadership Mason Conference will take place. It is a one-day workshop focusing on leadership skill development by the LEAD Office.
