Mason Lobbies – February 23rd

On Wednesday, members of Student Government and the Mason community traveled to Richmond, VA for Mason Lobbies 2016. The legislative priorities this year included: increased student financial aid funding, support funding for the Capital Project to renovate Robinson Hall, increased funding for graduate research assistantships, and support legislation that provides college campuses with the direction and resources necessary to combat sexual violence. Tuition Town Hall: Where Does All the Money Go? – March 3rd

Ever wondered where your tuition dollars are going? Join us for a Town Hall with Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance, J.J. Davis and Vice President of University Life, Rose Pascarell. They’ll be breaking down the specifics on the budget and giving you a better idea of how the University’s money, including your tuition, is being used to enhance your Mason experience. The Town Hall is happening on Thursday, March 3rd in the Johnson Center, Dewberry Hall, at 3pm.

Recent Legislation: Resolution 18 and Resolution 19

Come to this week’s Senate meeting to learn more about these two resolutions. Resolution 18 is a resolution to establish and support the City Council Dinner. Resolution 19 is a resolution to establish the first spring Academic Advising Campaign. Another piece of legislation that will be discussed this week is Bill 16. This bill is to amend the Code of Student Governance.

Weekly Senate Meeting

Our weekly Student Senate Meetings are always open to the public! This week, the Senate will be discussing two resolutions and one bill. Join us on Thursday, February 25thth at 4:30 pm in Merten Hall Room 1201 to learn more about what the Student Senate has been working on.
