The Campus Climate and Student Safety Forum

The Campus Climate and Student Safety Forum is this Thursday from 2-4 pm! Join us for a panel discussion on diversity and student safety, focusing on campus climate, bias incident and discrimination reporting and procedures, cultural competency, safe spaces, and more. Our panelists include Vice President for Compliance, Diversity and Ethics Julian Williams, J.D., Associate Dean for University Life Dr. Joya Crear, and Assocate Dean for Students, University Life Dr. Brent Ericson. The event will start as an introduction of the offices represented, go into a facilitated discussion, followed by a Q&A and open discussion. If you or someone you know has been a victim of discrimination at George Mason University — faculty, staff, student, or guest — you can fill out a bias incident report at http://biasincident.gmu.edu/ The form can be anonymous or attributed, and is reviewed by the Campus Climate Committee. This form helps the university get a better understanding of the general campus climate.
