On October 26, 2019 the Government and Community Relations (GCR) department, in partnership with Fairfax City Park Authority, hosted the most successful Witch watch event yet with over 200 participants.
Witch Watch began as a yearly event hosted on-campus where community members were invited to come and trick-or-treat with registered student organizations (RSO). This year, Student Government secured Fairfax City’s Old Town Square to offer easy access for community members to interact with Mason students. Several RSOs participated in the event, and there were plenty of smiling faces, cute costumes, and happy parents.
Student Government raffled several gift cards to local businesses such as Glory Days Grill, Tandoori Nights, Tutor Dudes Services, and even a signed Washington Nationals baseball – just in time for their historic win.
We look forward to another successful event next year!
