First Gen+ Center
The First-Gen+ Center serves as an accessible starting point for students (and their families) to understand and connect with relevant university resources. The team prioritizes data to better understand the student experience and proactively works toward improving the campus to be “first-gen ready” and “undocufriendly” throughout each university area. We work to enhance the collegiate experience through services, programs, policy awareness, and educating the campus community.

Student Success Coaching
Success Coaches discuss all aspects of a student’s life that affects their overall well-being in a 45-60 minute appointment. The Success Coaching team helps students identify resources to enhance their Patriot experiences, and develop and implement personal, career, and academic goals. Success coaching helps students transition to college, make the most of their student experience, and work through their own definition of success while at Mason within our nine focus areas.

University Career Services
University Career Services (UCS) is George Mason University’s nationally recognized centralized career center. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
CAPS provides in-person and virtual, free and confidential, mental health services for enrolled students. When a student’s needs require a different level of care, CAPS works with students to transition care to community providers.

Student Support and Advocacy Center
The Student Support and Advocacy Center is committed to providing an empowering environment for all Mason students to seek support services and to explore healthy life choices. We offer educational programming, one-on-one consultations, and resources in the areas of sexual and interpersonal violence, financial well-being, basic needs, substance use, and collegiate recovery. We also assist students encountering barriers to personal success.

Contemporary Student Services
We provide hands-on guidance in finding and building the resources to support you through to graduation. We serve as a compass and a bridge. Our services are open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Office of Financial Aid
To assist you with the financial aid process, Mason’s Office of Student Financial Aid has a team of dedicated professionals available to help you and your family. The Financial Aid staff will work with you annually as you re-apply for financial assistance each year you attend Mason.
