Join Student Senate

Please note that attendance at weekly Student Senate meetings is mandatory for membership; only three unexcused absences are permitted per semester. Meetings are held on Thursdays at 4:30 PM in one of the meeting rooms on the third floor of the Johnson Center.

To apply for Student Senate during the 2007-2008 academic year, please follow these directions:

  1. Print out the Senate application form as well as the blank signature packet (see below for links).
  2. Complete the application form.
  3. Collect 150 student signatures and G numbers using the signature packet. Please note that all signatures must be derived from students currently enrolled at GMU. The full G number is needed to verify that they are, in fact, a student.
  4. Return both parts of the application to the Student Senate Application Drop-off box in the Student Government Office — Johnson Center Room 133 (Johnson Center Building Map) — which is located on the first floor of the Johnson Center on the opposite end of the building in relationship to the bookstore.
