Lauren Kaplan (She/Her)
“Hello my name is Lauren Kaplan and I currently reside in Fairfax, VA.
I currently work as the Assistant Director of Student Involvement for the Student Government and Student Funding Board in the Office of Student Involvement at George Mason University, in Fairfax, VA.
My educational journey began at Valencia College in Orlando, FL where I received my A.A. Degree in General Studies in 2006 and, then I transferred to the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL where I received my Bachelors in Interpersonal/Organizational Communications in 2008 and then, my Masters in Education with a specialization in College Student Affairs in 2010.
In 2018, I began my doctoral journey. I am pursuing my Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Higher Education Administration in the College of Doctoral Studies at Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, AZ. I am currently conducting my research for my dissertation.
Residing in Fairfax, I have access to a lot of fun activities in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. I enjoy exploring the area’s restaurants, museums, and farmers markets!
My job and my family motivate me to travel – to both places in Virginia and elsewhere. My immediate family lives in Florida, New York and New Jersey and thus, whenever I get the chance, I visit them. I look forward to continuing to travel, to explore, and to simply enjoy the world of new adventures.”
